@yogapaddlerun same- though I’ve done many (sewer, roof, tear down/safety structure and new panel/ grounded bathroom). And tbh, kitchen - part of it safety (electrical /core - remainder of plumbing), but also….. I’m on a tenure clock and given the other upgrades, I worry about selling it if I do t get tenure without doing some work on it.

It’s kinda the sore thumb now that I did the other fixes 😅

@yogapaddlerun I *think* the cabinets are maybe 50 years old. Guessing, but they sit on a second layer of flooring, which has asbestos.

They certainly smell that old.

@Beanc i have maple birdseye in the kitchen hardwood( think leftover gymnasium). But with damage in front of the dishwasher from previous owner. Would never do hardwood in the kitchen by choice.
Like the checker. Could cover the bad spots....been thinking about a stone strip in front of the sink and dishwasher @yogapaddlerun
