@yogapaddlerun same- though I’ve done many (sewer, roof, tear down/safety structure and new panel/ grounded bathroom). And tbh, kitchen - part of it safety (electrical /core - remainder of plumbing), but also….. I’m on a tenure clock and given the other upgrades, I worry about selling it if I do t get tenure without doing some work on it.
It’s kinda the sore thumb now that I did the other fixes 😅

@yogapaddlerun I *think* the cabinets are maybe 50 years old. Guessing, but they sit on a second layer of flooring, which has asbestos.
They certainly smell that old.

@Beanc i have maple birdseye in the kitchen hardwood( think leftover gymnasium). But with damage in front of the dishwasher from previous owner. Would never do hardwood in the kitchen by choice.

@b4cks4w @Beanc @yogapaddlerun had the floors redone 10yrs ago. With 4 dogs it is time again. I didn't let the guy talk me out of oil vs waterbase. Did not regret. Looked and held up much better.
But good thing I like to camp. Was a week before It was livable again.
My bf's son is a professional wood floor layer/refinisher. He wants to do it this time. Yay. When I get a quote I'll know how much longer before it gets done.
