Ok

I need to get this block out of here, but I’d like to be able to reuse it elsewhere if possible. Suggestions to break it lose without doing too much damage?

I have no idea how they put it together. Some sort of glue or mortar. No idea which 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hard to tell, but a lot of that looks free standing. Try a big hammer, to see what comes loose. Then if that doesn’t work, try some kind of large steel wedge. Like a wood splitter. To attack the mortar.

Old mortar is fairly brittle compared to the stone and concrete. And should break out.

@corlin @h2oaddicted Agree. I would go at the seams with a wonder bar and/or crow bar. Any hidden mortar should break.

Joints look too tight to be mortared. My guess is they used PL400 subflooring adhesive. Prybar/crowbar is still the way to go imo.
