I absolutely love the idea of shipping the batch training of AI models to data centers fed by renewables in order to mop up surplus capacity and generate revenue without requiring additional grid infrastructure. We could simply ship the valuable compute job to the location with the greatest momenary surplus of renewable capacity instead of shipping the electricity to a fixed datacenter fed by the grid. Much cheaper.
