Google Podcasts shuts down tomorrow, because Google. Makes a tidy 295 deprecated projects.
I get it's their m.o. but the net result is I don't use Google anything to save the hassle of finding replacements. Also shit privacy. Also makes them look really disorganized.
@ranthony Yeah, and it was the third or fourth? I think they launched two on the same week? When there were already several available/established. What's the plan.
@b4cks4w Agree completely. I get failing fast and responding to the market, but Google has made me realize that you can overdo it if you look uncommitted to what you launch and/or disorganized. Services I need to count on I now pay for and avoid Google.
@b4cks4w It was a pretty crap application. Most podcast apps are pretty crap, in fact. I take comfort in the fact that, had it been good and I started relying on it, I would now have to go look for another app. Win-win.
