I'd like to write a little pamphlet called "How to Debusinessify Your Language (And Talk Like a Human Being Again)".
It would contain such tips as:
• For "as of Monday" say "on Monday."
• For "our widgets fail on a daily basis" say "our widgets fail every day."
• For "per Ms Kaplan" say "as Ms Kaplan says" or "according to Ms Kaplan."
• For "our prior report" say "our earlier report" or "our previous report."
• For "the current/on-going widget failure crisis" say "the widget failure crisis."
