Woz is smiling because he thinks Atari just paid them $350.

Jobs is smiling because he knows Atari just paid them $750.

It's clear from the photo that Jobs' sense of style was far from taking its ultimate form at this point in time.

Yeah, I was a calculator snob, though. I only ever had H-P's, reverse Polish notation.

Also, I'm super-picky about watches, and digital watches fail to check ANY of my boxes, right out of the gate. I want HANDS and GEARS.

Yes !
RPN for the win...
Still to this day it is the way I think about arithmetic.

@corlin @b4cks4w

I mostly like pressing fewer keys, it'd be impossible to do hand calculations that way, though.

My favorite, and the only calc. I use today is the wonderful
"PCalc" Has An RPN mode built in.

And every other thing you might need.

pcalc.com

@corlin @b4cks4w

It's got no BUTTONS.

I mostly use my circa-1989 HP 32S II "Scientific". Works great, I have to put three new hearing aid batteries into it about every five years.

If I can't do it with the HP, my next step is Mathematica.

@mcfate @b4cks4w @corlin i apparently have radioactive wrists or something. i have never had a watch, even a mechanical one, last more than a few weeks.

@anatman @b4cks4w @corlin

Interesting.

I mentioned the other day how, if I keep a compass in my pocket for long enough, it reverses polarity and starts pointing South.

I Swear I Am Not Making This Up.
