Hey DC still has cicadas but the news cycle has moved on so we can't talk about cicadas.
@misterfive dunno about those but there are some amazingly scary looking harmless-to-humans cicada hornets
Wait till you see the Tarantula Hawks.
Those are scary looking!
The mites you can't see, but apparently they are worse than swarms of mosquitos for biting people and making them welt up. So be careful not to linger around oaks that were/are cicada-heavy.
