Well, you're trying to reach people who can't do the math necessary to compare the possible unknown long-term risks of the vaccine vs the possible unknown long term risks of the disease, PLUS the KNOWN short term risks of the disease.
So what better way than tying it to one of the most mathematically illogical ways of betting your money?
