@JV3MJD The GOP governing bodies are trying to avoid repaying Social Security for the 'loan' they took out to justify the huge tax breaks they gave the very wealthy back in the 80s.
There is NOTHING conservative about any GOP pol for the past 70 or so years.

@Vonzales Putin is obviously ill, probably not long for this world. It has been reported he obsesses over how Moammar Gadhafi's body was defiled after he was killed.
Frankly, I am thinking Putin plans to take the whole world with him when he dies, just to avoid that which he knows he deserves.

These are the living conditions of an average Russian pensioner, the one in the photos lives in the suburbs of the 3rd largest city, Ekaterinburg, she hasn't had running water or heating in her block for 6 years.
But she's an avid watcher of Russian TV and repeatedly thanked Putin for attacking Ukraine, otherwise her life would have become miserable, because Ukraine surely planned to steal her home.

J&J created a new unit to shoulder ~38,000 lawsuits claiming its talc-based products caused cancer, and the court’s ruling dismissed that unit’s bankruptcy case. J&J, which maintains that its products are safe, said it would seek to have the ruling overturned.

Stat: As of the end of last year, 64% of US consumers were living paycheck to paycheck, up from 61% the year before, according to a survey of ~4,000 people released yesterday by Pymnts.com and LendingClub. Even people earning more than $100,000 annually might be thinking twice about adding guac to their burritos as pay fails to keep up with inflation—more than half of them said they were part of the paycheck-to-paycheck club, per the survey.

@Madken65 Former (thank the gods) AZ governor sold rights to fossil water in a large desert aquifer to the Saudis, leaving the sparse homeowners in the area needing to drill deeper household wells to reach the falling water table. Home owners can't afford more drilling. Saudis are fine with sucking us dry.

One wonders if reluctant legislators on the Right went along with the Infrastructure Bill that included fixes for roads and bridges because they got a tip that a heavier 'presidential Beast for the common (very rich) man' was in the pipeline.
Can't wait to find out what sorts of tax credits/incentives the GOP will be pushing for people to buy these things. No wonder they are all about that 30% sales tax on everything, including food. Pay up or die, po folk!

@MindfulWilliam Tucson trash service sold them at cost years ago. My B-I-L wasn't really using his so he gave it to me. Been using it for years, no problem and it's well over 10 years in South West sun and winters below freezing. Santa brought me the stacking worm farm.
