@attilatheblond
The bloody battle for democracy is happening right now in Ukraine, and all of us will be recipients of the outcome... good or bad.
@VelvetDuchess We are, as a nation, doing pretty well. The GOP is just throwing the usual tantrum, trying to get concessions. Sadly, this particular batch of Rs are so ignorant and filled with bile that they may well make us a deadbeat nation, tank the economy, then blame it all on the DEMs. You know, because they themselves have NO policies to improve the lives of citizens, so they have to keep ramping up hate and fear.
@kel Has there been any more evidence about his stint as a drag performer in Brazil? Haven't looked since that popped up late last night.
@Maude One might think a lot of Republicans are so busy riling folks up about DEMs coming for their guns that they would be too busy to come for our free speech. But, noooooooooo
@Maude Great plan! Saw a photo of one of those little yard library cabinets that proudly proclaimed ALL BANNED BOOK AVAILABLE.
If I had cabinetry skills, I would make one of those things and put it up in my front yard, right close to the community mailbox.
I welcome the adoption of the European Union resolution on the establishment of a Special tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine. I call on all our partners to support such a tribunal. Russia must be held accountable for its war of aggression and justice must prevail.

@Maude Wise decision. Give the brave Ukrainian people everything you can to stop Russian terrorism is a better route than waiting for Putin to send his missiles your way.
Countries that share a border with Russia are providing the most resolute support for Ukraine because they know if Russia is not soundly defeated now, they almost certainly will be next. We owe it to them and to ourselves to follow their lead.

@TheNewsOwl Noticing more indictments of abusive men as we see more women in positions to enforce the laws. Whodda thunk it.
@Vonzales After 'covering up', those men should also smile more.
Comment and brilliant reply in WP comments to story about Rep. Stuebe falling 25' out of his tree:
"What exactly "knocked" the congressman?
More than likely, after cutting a limb, that limb fell and knocked him off the ladder...
~~~~
Reply:
While technically correct, I think you're missing the point: Saying he was "knocked off" by a limb he cut himself is like saying a car piloted by a drunk was "struck by a guardrail."
WaPo: "Musk cut virtually all staff in Brazil, allowing an unmoderated surge in misinformation that helped fuel this month’s attacks on the country’s government center."
@bluesbaby And the GOP is looking for more special people to run in local school board races.
I witnessed a lot of RW idiots on local school boards back in the early 70s. Figure a lot of the idiots we see with these kinds of signs are products of, or children of, the people who were 'educated' under the rule of the 70s boards owned by RW cult members.
Here we go again. America dies from failure of real education.
