Has anyone taken any classes on the people's university website? Do any employers take those seriously?
there's one in UK and one in California?... that I know of... I did take a course at the UK one, it was very good; but never used it for advancement per se ( i list it under continous edu) . I just did it for my own growth.
Microcredentials- may help (or not) depending on the field and employer. At the minimum, at least they show a drive for continuous education. If it's a more tangible skill, can help to move forward/find a niche at old or new work place.

Good to brainstorm with as many people as you can get, ideas, perspectives, more questions, as you are pondering what is best for your own situation.
