hard to keep politics out of my brain...trying to stay busy and filter out the crazy times.
Will finish reading a book, and looking for another one

Ha, ha, Lamby's rule.. sounds like a movie title :-)

@evamarie

Love and other thought experiments- I liked it, although I w'd have to re-read, bcz I rushed through.

Right now- Elena Ferrante's -The lying life of adults-

@artemis

How are you enjoying it? I loved her Neapolitan trilogy, especially “My Brilliant Friend.” She has such a unique voice.

She has a unique voice, indeed. I enjoy this book. It's her same unmistakable voice, speaking through a teen character. She creates this amazing atmosphere, rich, innocent, intelligent. It's a smooth read.

@evamarie

When the time comes.
Different moods, different books :-)

What are ur recommendations?

@artemis

One of the better books I’ve read lately is “Educated, a Memoir” by Tara Westover. It’s the memoir of a girl who grew up in Mormon survivalist family and was homeschooled but somehow was able to escape her fate and ended up getting her PhD at Oxford.

To say the book is harrowing is an understatement, but to say too much more is to give too much away.

I generally prefer fiction, but I really enjoyed this book.

@evamarie

That sounds like an amazing life trajectory. I find it interesting to understand what makes people switch something, anything, in their lives.
Well, you perfectly said just enough to make me curious :-)

@evamarie

And, with that, wishing you a very Good Night, and peaceful dreams 🥂

@evamarie

So this is why I had such a good, relaxing sleep. 😍 Thank you 😍
