My boss who was out the week before my vacation was diagnosed with lung cancer and is now on leave. I had a suspicion.
Time to flex my ability to adapt and work independently.
We don’t expect my boss to return to work. Found out she has stage 4 lung cancer metastasized to brain 😢 not great prognosis. Radiation started.
Coworker and I had a call today & devised a plan to divide the work between us and keep each other in the loop of what needs to be prioritized.
@annamuneca damn, that’s awful. And chemo? I don’t know if I have that kind of fight in me. I think I’d probably focus on palliative care. :(.
Fuck cancer.
@MookyTroubadour yeah. And she’s right at retirement age. We want her to go enjoy her time and family & not be worrying about work.
