I think some people don’t vote because they’re uncomfortable with the idea of their choice not winning so like a spoiled child they refuse to participate. “If I can’t win then I don’t wanna play.”
@annamuneca I also think it's people who feel they didn't get EVERYthing they wanted from the last election so they stay home and pout. Unfortunately, Dems have a habit of doing this. 2010, for example. Dems lose the House because so many Dems stayed home because they felt Obama didn't do anything.
@annamuneca I think a lot of people don't understand what voting is. It isn't about 'getting what you want.'
It's about a large family-style meal where we all eat the same thing. Are you going to get exactly the food you want? No. But you can keep poison off the table and make sure there's something on it you like.
That may not sound like much, but when Uncle Milo and Aunt Karen are seriously trying to make us all eat arsenic-laced dog shit, it matters.
