So is the housing market ever going to stop being stupid? In 2024? In 3 years? 5 years?
Eventually renting an apartment will be as expensive as owning a home.
@damselfly59 that would be helpful. In just 3 years most home prices around here have gone up $60k-$100k. I guess it gives us time to save for a down payment but frustrating all the same.

Hope so. There has been a concerted effort to keep home ownership for profiteering, but seeing some kickback finally. Like healthcare, housing was being used to create a captive source of capital.
