For those scratching heads how so many people can get sucked into a conspiracy theory-cult, consider this: "The prevalence of paranoid personality disorder indicates that it is among the most common personality disorders with recent estimates varying from 2.4% to 4.41% "

@Blackwolf working in psychiatric-related field I see Borderline & Antisocial PD diagnosed about 3-4 times more often than Schizotypal & other cluster A types but it might be done out of fear of pigeon-holing a patient to a Dx.

@annamuneca because they don't seek help generally...and also diagnosis seem insurance-driven these days...

@Blackwolf and some folks only seek treatment for diagnosis that can be treated with medications versus treated with individual therapy or CBT. A lot of ppl have an aversion to putting in the work in order to fix their problems.

@annamuneca UNDERSTATEMENT. Most people come into therapy with the fantasy of "make me happy"

@Blackwolf “what? I have to come back & do this again & again? Cant you just fix it?!” Hell, it took me 6 months just to start getting anywhere with therapy because I was SO resistant.
