Engagement is the narcissist’s oxygen.
It feels really rude, but she can suck the oxygen out of the room so fast while pretending it’s all about you (ugh). She also is a rumor monger (who somehow makes it about her).
I have someone in my life like that as well. It’s very grating in addition to depleting. It’s sad cause they’re not actually very happy, but this personality type is very recalcitrant to change & growth.

I have two sisters like this. Had to call one for information. When said information was received thanked them and attempted to hang up. They wanted to go in and on about it (I.e. a one sided convo where only they talked… held phone away then when they paused thanked them again and said goodbye). She’s done this for decades.
I know it’s cold, but it also ends up with her lying and boasting and self-aggrandizement.
She is very Trumpian.
