I parked my Facebook account with a message telling folks how to reach me, then I unstalled the app and never logged in again.
No one can reach me there, but they know how if they need to.
Next, I flagged every email notification as spam. They'll try to pull me back in, they'll fail.
I will NOT play Zuckerberg's game, and you don't have to either.
^^ This is also how I dealt with Twitter when Melon Husk took over. That one I'll still ping occasionally to not lose the #InstructionalDesign connections I built there, but it's a rarity.
You DO have a choice, folks.
I've told several people about this place. Some have stayed, some have not. It's no loss either way.
If they can't appreciate what's happening here, then perhaps they belong in the predatory data-mining waters of Out Thereâ„¢.
