I feel like, even five or six votes in, people feel this strong urge to be positive about a baby photo, willing to lie about its attractiveness just to be nice. I mean, I’m sure most people who aren’t assholes are going to fake it, for sure. “Oh my goodness, what a cute baby!!!!!!!!!!!!” 😹 I do. Not over the top, just…yeah. Like “what am I -supposed- to say? What does convention require?” That’s what I say and do. And I think parents think their babies are cute regardless of the evidence.
