Shocked to see almost 40% of CoSo members consider themselves right wing on recent poll. They are clearly silent or I’m just missing their comments.
After the emotionalism of this election is over, I’d like to learn why they believe conservatism serves America.
We need to return to the respect/tolerance of decades ago when both parties worked together for the good of all.
@LnzyHou If it was a CoSo member poll, would need to see the way the question & choices were worded as well as how many folks answered the poll? But if the member poll was one of the typical 20-40 responders, I wouldn’t translate that to “40% of CoSo members consider themselves right wing”.
Did you get a screenshot of the poll results or recall which CoSo member started the poll so we can take a look at the data?❤️
@ShaneArtBooks @altucker @LnzyHou Folks, that poll was part of a thread where @AndyM was asking which of the 2 Halloween pumpkins folks preferred. That poll had nothing to do with politics and certainly does NOT mean CoSo folks are 40% far-right. Here is the thread of pic plus poll for context. I have favorite mandarin phrase I learned when I was teaching in China. "Meiyou wenti" means "no problem." Give yourself credit for bringing up an interesting problem...the veracity of surveys and polls. So thank you!

Regardless of the intent/efficacy of how the poll was intended, there are surely people in CoSo who are right wing in their politics.

@LnzyHou @JGSchaeffer @ShaneArtBooks @altucker And for the record, the left pumpkin was mine, the wife's was on the right. Together, counting all votes (CoSo poll, friends, family, neighbors, and trick-or-treaters), the right pumpkin (my wife's) won by 1 vote. Next year....

It was a hard choice but Pumpkin Right had the best eyes, IMHO.

Social media can go off the rails sometimes. I've seen that less on CoSo than elsewhere...like TwitX which is off the rails a lot.

I also just realized my wife's pumpkin is always on the right side of the porch as you walk up. I need to remember that to change things up next year......
