The Glass Gem Corn is a mix of ancient Pawnee, Osage and Cherokee varieties and it's indigenous to North America.
It was regrown by the late Cherokee farmer Carl "White Eagle" Barnes in Oklahoma.

@YouInMyEye
I've seen this stunning glass gem corn on the stalks in the field glowing in low early evening light. I was amazed most by the heights!! Nine to 12 feet tall!

@YouInMyEye "Indian corn" we called it growing up. Beautiful colors. I still have some decorative stalks of the Cherokee variety.
