As I look at great SubGenius literature, and my love of the totally metal art of geniuses like Albrecht Dürer I realize they're similar. Vast, detailed, complex, maddeningly filled with symbols.

I believe religious issues - oft monotheistic - are at too often at the roof of people not being able to deal with history. Atrocious actions that are bad enough take on cosmic significance if one believes such behaviors lead to divine judgement.

Or in short, it's pretty hard to deal with the fact that your heroes, ancestors, and perhaps parents should be in HELL by the religious standards you espouse. So people don't.

Spirituality and art are inseparable; to try to divide them is to loose both.

Cultured people of all sentient species enjoy the Dobbstown Mirror. The lynchpin, the centerpoint, the vortex of SubGenius supported community literature.
