A Tale about "Clean Energy" - Part IV
Three Mile Island and Chernobyl later and Nuclear being a "Clean Energy" ... well maybe not so much.
Right now, as a society we are cheering Wind and Solar as "Clean Energy".
Sure in comparison, they seem to be, but as we scale them out, we are beginning to see the damage done to eco-systems from the mining for lithium batteries and advanced electronics.
We need to stop thinking anything is truly "Clean Energy".

Yes. it is a system. Just concentrating on the source, alone, and ignoring all the dependencies, is a recipe for future failure.
One answer is to follow nature, evolution, and emergence. Allow many small, simple, interlocked system to develop and evolve. Then reproduce the ones that are both flexible, robust, and have the least unintended consequences.
