has confirmed a launch attempt tomorrow from LC-40 targeting 12:36 PM EDT.

Sitting on the pad at nearby LC-41 will the atop a Atlas V. It's scheduled to launch its first crewed flight tomorrow night at 10:34 PM EDT.

A decade ago, the Cape couldn't do a launch in less than every three days. The Obama administration got the funding to upgrade the Cape from 1960s-era technology so this would be possible.

We just had a launch, satellites for the European Space Agency, but the sky is so totally overcast we saw nothing, only heard it.

The new supercharger station at 8660 Astronaut Blvd. in Cape Canaveral. There are 12 stations; three cars were charging when I arrived, but two quickly left.

has had superchargers for years in the Pad 39A admin building parking lot but, unless you're badged for KSC access, they do you no good. This is the first supercharger station on north Merritt Island. I for one am endlessly delighted.

In retrospect, perhaps the most significant event that day was the visit to at Launch Complex 40. Obama was given a tour by a clearly nervous Elon Musk. Obama committed to reform that would end the government monopoly and open space to competition.
