For those getting all excited about today's announcement ... All we know is that they will release *a* ruling today at 10 AM EST. For all we know, it's what toppings they want on the pizza order. So let's not assume it's anything related. πŸ˜‰

That's what happens when politicians think they know more than the experts.

The question is if voters will hold them accountable this November. (Probably not.)

just called today's action "bullpucky." She's upset, and so is Chris Hayes.

Lawrence O'Donnell isn't all that upset. He points out that SCOTUS agreed to hear only one issue, tossing all the other claims in Trump's appeal. He also notes that they declined to send it back to the appellate court which would have delayed the matter further.

Lawrence thinks there's zero chance SCOTUS finds a former president has immunity. I disagree.

Watching 's legal eagles, they seem to be in a bit of a panic about this. They seem to think that the majority are going to grant extraordinary powers of legal immunity as a former president.

If so .. I'll just point out that those powers will have been granted to too.

They also speculated that could hold their ruling until they recess in late June, essentially assuring that no criminal trial can begin in time to affect the election.

Listening to NPR this morning, they interviewed a Palestinian activist in Michigan who was demanding that immediately call for a ceasefire in Gaza or else he was somehow going to flip Michigan to in November.

Not once did this person say a word about October 7, but beyond that he was totally clueless about the delicate diplomatic dance by the Biden administration to resolve this.

I wish some people would do their homework.

From The Hill: Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) is calling for the House GOP to cancel speech.

(Of course, the real reason is they don't want to give him prime time television coverage where everyone can see that mentally he's just fine.)

How will Trumpers deny tonight's commercial lunar landing?

From Zombie Twitter ... President met in San Francisco today with the widow and daughter of Alexei Navalny.

We all know that would only meet with the man who killed Alexei.

What the legislature is doing, and I'm not making this up ... It literally was the first bill brought up by Republicans in the state House, and now it's passed the state Senate.

"The Florida Senate has approved legislation that would boot minors younger than 16 years old off social media and require age verification to access pornographic websites."
