Now up to 60% chance of formation in the next seven days. Some evidence that it might eventually turn northward. If it forms, it will become #Ernesto.

Now up to 50% chance of formation in the next seven days. From what I've read, there's not much out there to slow it down.
From the National #Hurricane Center, courtesy of Mike's Weather Page ... If this develops, I'd guess Florida is in play by the end of next week.
Tornado warning for north Brevard County until 7:14 AM EDT. The track has it heading in the direction of Titusville and Mims.

We're under tornado watch until 6 AM EDT as #Debby saunters by ...
From the #NWS Melbourne ... #SpaceCoast all but out of it. The hourly forecast on Weather.com still says sustained winds of 20 MPH starting midday, nothing worse through tomorrow.
On the Gulf side, though, #Debby could make landfall in the Panhandle as a Category 1.
We now officially have Tropical Storm #Debby. #SpaceCoast is still forecast to have minimal effects, about 2"-4" of rain with winds no higher than 20 MPH.
What may become #Debby shifted west overnight, less of a concern for #SpaceCoast for now. Still forecast as no more than a tropical storm.
The latest Invest 97 tracks and intensity ... That Cat 2 stalled over the Panhandle forecast seems to have gone poof. Now it looks like a tropical storm at best.
For #SpaceCoast, the 10-day forecast on Weather.com has Sunday with thunderstorms and 20 MPH winds. Thunderstorms continue into Tuesday with diminishing winds.
The #SpaceCoast is still very much in play, although the consensus has Invest 97 heading for the Panhandle.
The #NWS bumped up Invest 97 to a 70% chance of formation in the next seven days.
One forecast for anticipated rainfall through August 9. The Panhandle is looking two to three feet of rain from this tropical event. The #SpaceCoast seems to be about 3".

This wave has been very unpredictable until now. Most thought it was going to be a weak sloppy mess. I'm a bit surprised by the Cat 2 projection.
