I swim laps three days a week at the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center. The lap pool was built in 1967. If you look at it from above on Google Earth, you'll see it's shaped like a Project Mercury capsule!

Good morning ... Florida awakens to #HurricaneNicole or just #Nicole. Looks like a high-end tropical storm event for we Space Coasters. We can handle the wind. The problem will be the rain, because some places are still flooded or saturated from #HurricaneIan #Ian.

This will affect us on Wed/Thu, so hopefully I can post photos/videos.

This is the daily forecast for Merritt Island FL the next week, per Weather.com ... The forecast models are increasingly confident that something is coming. 27 MPH sustained winds are no big deal, but we're still flooded here and there from Ian, so Florida can't handle a lot of rain right now.
