Says that #Trump tried to "kick millions of black Americans off health insurance" by attempting to repeal the ACA "ObamaCare."
"The pandemic was especially devestating to the black community."
Trump spread the lie that Obama wasn't born in the US.
"It tells us a lot about the man, and about his character."
Says that Kamala Harris "can be President of the United States."
The crowd starts chanting, "Four more years!"
"#Trump is lying like hell" about Biden's economic record in the black community -- record low black unemployment, record number of black-owned businesses.
Cut black child poverty in half. Intends to make that temporary law permanent.
Speech wraps up. A very strong speech, with a very strong voice. The usual stutters here and there, wandering a little bit, but overall this was the strongest I've heard his voice in a long time. He spoke for 30 minutes.
@WordsmithFL yeah, we've been trying to erase indigenous history since we came to this land. heaven forbid colonizers should feel bad about what they did in the name of colonizing. π
@WordsmithFL: Technically, he could officially Order it into Law, and then he couldn't be sued over it, as per SCOTUS.
I mean it'd be a neat test of its ruling.
@thedisasterautist I wasn't clear what he meant. $55/month is $660/year. That's a lot. I think it got muddled, we'll have to see what comes out.

It's not much if a landlord is trying to push out renters in a gentrifying market.
But I don't see how he can enforce it if the landlord isn't receiving any federal money.
@EileenKCarpenter Yeah, it wasn't clear to me. He said, "We're about to announce ..." so I guess we'll find out the details soon.

A little more on the rent thingie from the POTUS account on Zombie Twitter:
"Iβm sending a clear message to corporate landlords: If you raise rents more than 5%, you should lose valuable tax breaks.
"Families deserve housing thatβs affordable β it's part of the American dream."
