@WhiteRose The fishy one cuz it would mean I was goin' swimmin! ;)
The Kuton (upper left) live in the soil underfoot, in the tiny spaces between grains of sand or lumps of dirt. When you see the little bubbles come out of the mud after a rain, those are the Kuton breathing.
The Hiru (upper right) can easily be seen with the naked eye. They are the tiny sparks that shoot up from a wood fire. But there are far more of them massed together in the heart of the flames.

The Fudori (lower left) live and swim in flowing water, and can be tracked by the jets of tiny bubbles that run through a turbulent stream.
The Aeru (lower right) are tiny creatures living in the atmosphere. When a low ray of sunlight comes through a room, you see them as the tiniest of dust motes. But all of them together, in vast numbers, are what turn the sky blue.
@DavidSalo Omg! I Love your response. So adorable reading. 🤗 ❤️
Whimsical lower left cutie pie.

@WhiteRose
I imagine those critters as elementals of earth, fire, water, and air respectively...
