Decided to give The Walking Dead a try (never seen it before despite the hype), and I must say I have questions.
- Why can the zombies smell? Why can they see? Why can they hear? None of the brain regions responsible for these senses are functioning.
- Why are they hungry? Their digestive system is inexistent.
- Why isn't their flesh falling off? With the amount of time passed since patient 0, the "walkers" should be just walking skeletons.
@deadweirdo
No.
In an episode at the CDC HQ they showed an MRI recording of an infected volunteer in which an emphasis was made on the fact of the brain being completely dead and the only neural electric activity was registering in the spinal-cranium connecting area.
@deadweirdo
That made me laugh 😆
“Never explain because do you realize how much actual work that’s gonna entail?!”
A textbook definition of lazy writing right there. And it shows.
@Vonzales man it’s been a while. i didn’t remember them trying to get technical. not pursuing that was probably a direct result of Kirkman (the comic creator) getting more involved with the show and being like “Is this your first zombie thing?! Never explain it! Do you have any idea how much stuff you’d have to keep track of if you explained it?!?” must’ve just been my head canon i guess.
