2024 is going to be nuts, so we need this.

Happy Tuesday!

Mural progress. Slow. Sooo many leaves.

(for pics from the beginning, scroll down my timeline.)

Man. Florida weather.

We have a saying here - "Don't like the weather? Wait 5 minutes."

Applies when you do like it, too.

Now it's gloomy & drizzly.

Happy Sunday!

Nice sunny day here in Key Largo. 75 degrees right now.

Here's today's lizard, if you can spot him. Look at his chunky legs! he's well fed.

Yay! It's Friday!

Mural progress. Sometimes it feels like I'm moving molasses. And on the rough stucco, it kinda is.

I'm using Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior Low Luster paint. Painted the walls with Superwhite first.

(For pics from the start, scroll down my timeline.)

More progress on the mural.

And - the client's mom & a good friend both told her they hate the pineapples & dragonflies on the pots! So, they are going back to terra cotta - ish - she wants me to make them paler.

(For pics from the beginning, scroll down my timeline.)

Good morning, CoSo!

I'm working on my workshop for Jan. 27th for Nova Southeastern U.

Title:

TSTL - How to Prevent Your Characters From Becoming Too Stupid To Live.

I have examples to use - such as the classic 'babysitter opens the closet door instead of running away',

But, I'd be interested in hearing any examples you know of - something that drove you nuts in a movie or book?

Thanks!!

David Frum -

Maybe prudence genuinely does recommend leaving Trump’s disgraced name on primary and general-election ballots. But remember that old joke about the man who murdered both of his parents and then asked for mercy as an orphan? It needs to be replaced by a new joke about the ex-president who trashed democracy when he had the power, and then pleaded for the protection of democracy so he could have one more chance to trash democracy again.

Hoping we all will see a happier, healthier New Year.

This gorgeous photo was taken by Alexander Kuznetsov & dist by Reuters. Northern lights in Lapland.

So magical, it makes me believe maybe there's hope that humans will see the light & stop torturing each other. (I know, I know. But just give me today & tomorrow, okay?)

More progress on the mural. It's been cold (low 60s - that IS cold for here) & damp in the mornings, so it affects how the paints perform. So, fewer hours to work.

Anyway - the 2nd shot is a close up of the Shrimp & Bearded Iris plants in progress. You can see the rough surface of the stucco. Not an easy surface to work on.

(Scroll down my timeline for pics from the beginning.)

Progress on the mural.

The designs on the pots are the client's VERY specific request. I don't love them, but she does.

Scroll down my timeline for the project from the beginning. 😀

Two more on the mural progress.

Homeowner is requesting some additional decor on the pots. Not crazy about the ideas, but it ain't my house, so . . . it shall be done.

Back to work on the mural today.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Happy day after X-mas. We had a quiet day, ate well, met up with friends in the evening.

A good day.

Hope you all were able to find a little peace, too. 😀

Merry Christmas, fellow early-risers!

Hope today is peaceful & happy.
