The camellia bushes around my house are going bananas now.

Also a zillion bees around them - which makes me feel great.

I'm making my list of things I gotta do today. And I'll check off each one as I dutifully accomplish each. Like an automaton.

It's how I'm getting through this week.

Super Geeky Halloween -

I think all 3 of my kids have gone out as Obi-Wan at least once in their lives.

It's almost Halloween! I'll be handing out candy so the son & DIL can walk the neighborhood with the kiddos.

I don't think they bought the full size candy bars - I might be in trouble . . .

It's a Confederate Rose - Hibiscus Mutabilis

Weather was glorious here yesterday. Went for a long walk around the neighborhood.

Saw lots of these shrubs - blooming like it's the middle of summer. The flowers are beautiful, but I LOVE these leaves, too.

Any idea what this plant is? I'm going to look it up, but if anyone knows . . .

The 3rd writing workshop in my current series is next Sat. Oct. 26th from 1-3pm at Upstairs Hampstead.

Some late-blooming roses in my yard.

Roses are all over the place here in Eastern NC. I'm loving them.

Was near to impossible to grow them in South Florida.
