@VictoriaLandis1 I'll be curious to hear how it goes. Back in the day, so many workshops I attended were filled with people who said they wanted to be writers but weren't serious about it.
I think lots of people attend these things, thinking they'll write a novel. But then, they begin to get into it & realize just how much work it is - and delay or even freeze.
Lots of folks, including myself, didn't have the mental bandwidth to begin until their kids were older.
Yeah, when I started, my youngest was 10. I met a few who were making serious efforts although they had little children - but almost every single one of those aspiring novelists were well-to-do & had maids and/or nannies.
@VictoriaLandis1 I can't imagine trying to be a writer while also raising a family. I never had children because I felt they'd get in the way of what I wanted to do with my life.
