Been away for almost 2 weeks visiting the grands in AZ. Hectic. But fun.
On the way back to Wilmington, I met a young man at the ATL airport & struck up a conversation.
The kid is fascinating. And - he speaks 5 languages, including Occitan!
My WIP takes place in Toulouse 1463 & they spoke Occitan. They still do, some.
He's agreed to help me with my research when needed.
Pretty cool, I think. 😀

I've been exchanging emails with someone who handled public relations for NASA here at what was then "Cape Kennedy" in the mid-1960s. I have an idea for another history book; even at age 84, he provided many insights.
Until he started complaining about "woke," which is when I ended the conversation. 🙄

This kid is definitely liberal, so no worries for me about that sort of thing.
He's amazing. I'm so impressed. He restores ancient papyrus & books! We started talking medieval & didn't stop.
