A Somber Friday Morning -

Holocaust Remembrance Day.

A few years back, my sister asked if my son (or his dad) knew what Jewish tribe they were descended from.

She looked aghast when I told her they don't know ANYTHING about the family history beyond 1 generation in Europe. Because they're all dead.

No distant cousins, no relatives at all. Everyone who didn't immigrate was murdered by Nazis. Including little children like these two.

@VictoriaLandis1 Never again but people have forgotten & it's happening again.

If you have their names, and locations will help, you can trace back using ancestry records. If you can't or don't have time, you can pay a researcher.

@MistyKitty3

Thanks. I will pass that on to my ex & his sister.

@VictoriaLandis1 From what I have done, the most extensive records are on the Mormon's Family Search website. And it's free. Whereas Ancestry, etc charge. AND the best part the Mormon's have free online seminars, really good to learn to navigate the "collections". Some classes really dig in the weeds too.
