I've read a bunch of books about the plague years in the 1300s.
Ppl reacted much the same as they did during Covid. Some just assumed getting it was going to happen no matter what, so partied. 1/3 to 1/2 of them died.
Some ran away with their families & isolated themselves for years.
The plague came back several times, lasting a few years, then finally went away.
Nearly half of Europe was dead.
Covid destroys T cells. Which is why so many ppl are getting sick with other viruses.
@VictoriaLandis1
Masks seem to have disappeared in many places.
I still wear mine, along with the other practices.
Me, too. Luckily, no one has ever given me a hard time about it.
@VictoriaLandis1
It hasn't happened to me either, people here don't seem to notice or care if others have masks on, or if they don't.
Me too
@VictoriaLandis1
So do I
@VictoriaLandis1 we have books from the 1300s?
@VictoriaLandis1 That plague pathogen still exists…and still causes trouble. Never went away.
And yes, people still act the same way. I can remember learning about pandemic Yersenia pestis then pandemic Influenza A and thinking we learned our lesson.
Their immune systems are shot.
The more times you get Covid, the worse it gets.
It's an endothelium disease. Attacks the lining of the blood vessels. Which is why all the blood clots, strokes, brain bleeds are happening.
We have to face it. This is just one of those periods in history. I wear a mask in public. It's not that hard.
