@HaikuHedgehog If you add breastfeeding to the equation it assists tremendously in providing infant with immunity until it becomes older.Breast milk has components that boosts an infant's immunity.
@MookyTroubadour Not too different than fecal transplants for older kids and adults. Taking feces from another person and transplanting it into another person to treat a variety of conditions, including: Recurrent Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) infections, Irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn disease, Constipation, and Ulcerative colitis. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/treatments/25202-fecal-transplant
@Ruthat Baby is not exposed to Mom's bacteria while in-utero. Mom does filter baby's excretions. Baby does get minimal bacterial exposure if it is a vaginal birth. If it is a C section birth...No.
Baby elephants and other newborn animals eat adult's poop which gives them the necessary bacteria that can become established in their guts and help them with their immune system. Now, there are trials trying to see if giving human infants a tiny amount of mom's poop and see if it will help infant. #science #nature #immunity https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-03449-4

@QueenOfEverything @InUnfunky @Liliki @Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine As a last note...Archive.Today (https://archive.ph/ is not the same as Archive.org 4/X
@QueenOfEverything @InUnfunky @Liliki @Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine Archiving will take a few moments. When it is done it will then present you with a readable snapshot. There are a few times when it can't. 3/X
@QueenOfEverything @InUnfunky @Liliki @Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine You would enter URL of webpage that you would like to access, in this case, a newspaper article that might be behind a paywall (it works most of the time) and see if someone has archived it. Enter URL into "I want to search the archive for saved snapshots". If it is archived then it will show you snapshot of webpage. If not, then you enter URL into "My url is alive and I want to archive its content" for web page to be archived 2/X
@QueenOfEverything @InUnfunky @Liliki @Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine Archive dot Today (https://archive.ph/) a time capsule for web pages!
It takes a 'snapshot' of a webpage that will always be online even if the original page disappears.
It saves a text and a graphical copy of the page for better accuracy
and provides a short and reliable link to an unalterable record of any web page 1/X
This does not bode well for US armed forces and security: 25% of The fittest of the fit developed long Covid. If marines don’t recover, it’s proof you can’t exercise/eat/think your way out of getting long Covid. Among 798 SARS-CoV-2 infected participants, 197 (24.7%) developed PASC (post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection). #COVID19 #COVID #health #marines #armedforces https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanam/article/PIIS2667-193X(24)00236-9/fulltext
