Ridiculing, taunting, daring trick o'treaters is never a good idea.

Given that Christians love to proselytize if given the opportunity I am surprised that they are not handing out pamphlets/flyers as treats. How many of us got such handouts when trick o'treating?

@Victor A very old lady once threw rocks at some trick or treaters in my neighborhood.

Pretty sure she'd just immigrated to live with relatives, and they forgot to tell her about Halloween, and she thought everyone was messing with her.

@AskTheDevil Interesting. I have witnessed how Halloween has become a global institution within the last few decades, and at times, overtaken national traditions in other countries. Dia de Los Muertos is another phenomenon that was quickly promoted by certain factors (Disney's Coco) and become established. All Hallow's Eve, Dia de los Muertos parallels traditional days of paying reverence to the dead. There is a lot of social and historical commonality.
