Worked 6 of 8 days in-person Early Voting. I just can't shake the memory of one unpleasant interaction. A voter had folded the Voter Authority card. It needs to be flat and has details to check & confirm at 3 steps in the process after check-in. I thought the fold was weird so, after instructing on use of the touchscreen ballot marking device/printer, I flattened the VAC.
The voter went 6 kinds of ballistic over why I was looking at the party affiliation. (it was irrelevant to me). AITA?
No, you're doing your job. The VOTER is the asshole.
@Vanitas
No. Especially if there are details on that card that need to be verified.
