@Vanitas yes it's clear ageism is alive across society. there's a time to move on for sure -- we're seeing the passing of the torch :)
As a person who sees the half century mark receding in the rear view mirror, I think we, as a society, need to embrace concepts like continuity, apprenticeship, and 2nd/3rd/4th careers without fear of feeling like gig workers without a net.
