Anybody up for some green eggs and ham? Gave my neighbour some plums the other day and she, in return, brought over some of the eggs from her coop! She’s got 6 chickens. 🐓 🐥 🥚 This is the first time I’ve ever seen a green egg from a chicken!! So cool! ❤️
@PaganMother wow, very interesting!! 😊
@Valkyrie_D They love grain and meal worms by the way, if you ever feel like picking up a treat for them in gratitude for their egg laying. ^.^ Corn meal and wheat meal in particular are great for laying birds. :)
@PaganMother awww….what a fantastic idea! I might actually do that. Thank you for the suggestion!! 💕
@Valkyrie_D Sure thing! :D
@kaehlys that’s awesome. I honestly had no clue a chicken could produce varying colours of eggs! Super cool stuff!!
@Valkyrie_D It's all genetics - this article goes into it a bit :)

@kaehlys thank you for the article!! 💕
@Valkyrie_D Healthy chickens! They tend to lay eggs varying shades of brown all the way to a pale blue and green in color. :D My mother in law owned a few until they passed away from natural causes earlier this year.
