@EnochianEntropy fair enough. I think she does it with both hands. I’m a +30 x3 person myself. And darn it! Now I’m gonna have to pay attention and catch her so I know if I just imagined the 2 hand thing. I can’t wait to explain why I’m watching. Ha! 🤣

@EnochianEntropy My lovely bride presses 1 for quick minute, then +30. So she gets in done in only 2 button presses. No need to even hit start.

@corlin @Kittiekatt53 @Rowdy
I used to do that. I inherited an HP calculator when I was in middle school. It used RPN and I got really good at it for a while. Been forever now though.

@corlin @Kittiekatt53
Agreed that these are usually order of operation problems. This one also throws in division by a fraction, which throws some folks off. I agree with @Rowdy that math shows up in a huge number of places. And in the real world we're faced with the dreaded "story problems" so the math questions are rarely neatly laid out for us.
I haven't actually tried to check this yet (cross my heart).
9 - (3 divided by 1/3) + 1.
3 divided by 1/3 = 9.
so then it's 9-9+1=1

Did I just give blood? Yes
Did I agree to no exercise, heavy lifting or alcohol for 24 hours? Yes.
Am I going golfing in 2 hours where I will do all of those things? Also yes.

Apologies, I should have said that this was a conveniently cropped version of the Reuters sketch. Hee hee hee.

I’m to understand this is the courtroom sketch by Reuters. Ha!

@BlueRevolution @EvilBunny agreed. I haven't either. It just seems like an opportunity to get ahead of the messaging before it becomes a PR win for Putrid Putin. Although admittedly the audience for which the PR win would land would also be the least likely to ever hear any preemptive messaging. So there's that.

@EvilBunny Do you suppose the world is ready for the likely eventuality of one of these getting taken out? I dread the thought but feel it's going to happen at some point.

@LiberalLibrarian @Render Your updates are amazingly good. Thank you.
What near-term NATO contributions must make it into action to have any significant impact in the next 7 to 14 days?

@WeThePeople Yikes. I personally know people who should not ever own firearms again due to their criminal record and general propensity to do unhinged things. And I personally know people who were thought to have a problem but didn't really. That person's weapons were temporarily confiscated then returned. Correctly, IMO. That one is a longer story and ends in a favorable rating by me of local police. So I hope they find a way to have both of those scenarios possible.

@WeThePeople Do you know if the context they are considering is just for being found guilty of certain offenses or of having certain specific medical diagnoses? The slippery slope for me is about being accused but not being found guilty (yet). Similar to how bail has turned out to be an unfairly executed device, simply accusing someone could be quite powerful. The rules around red flag laws would have to be well thought out and enforced. But I'm certainly in agreement that something is needed.

@Graci awesome question! No. No dips in play. Chips only. But your question is one step towards my thought…. Folks have their strategies.

Not really suited to a poll…
So you have a bowl of corn chips. Small bowl for just you or a big bowl at a gathering….whatever came to your mind when I said bowl of chips…

How do you choose the next chip you choose to eat?

I was so disappointed in my high schoolers. They both totally didn’t see this very free spirited Argentinian futbal fan after they won the World Cup. 😂

I, however, am still as eagle eyed as ever.

@willmckinley I shared your post with my brother (not on CoSo). He reminded me that my grandparents did, in fact, hang extra lights on their aluminum tree even though the directions said to not do that. Ha! I had forgotten. I'm sure it was my grandfather's doing. Would have been the same guy (retired fireman) who got tired of replacing fuses in the house panel and stuffed pennies in there. And also smoked his cigars while wearing his oxygen tube. It's a wonder we're not all dead.

@willmckinley OMG Yes! My grandma had that setup. What a flashback Sunday. Very cool. I swear I can hear the motor turning that wheel.

@PranaLady Love seeing works of art. So thank you for sharing. But the kid in me must ask... Is the dude in the glasses licking a FireTV remote control?

I was CoSo whenCoSo wasn’t cool. Okay, it has always been cool. But this song flashed in my head this morning and I had to share the ear worm.

Have a great day.
