@mcfate I haven't relied on internet traffic exclusively. I also listen to 911 traffic and local news. However, in the Troublesome Fire particularly Twitter was enormously helpful in getting ppl over the continental divide. It would be nice to have a public service platform where this info would be provided.
@mcfate I don't know that to be true. I live in the West and it is (was) especially useful during wildfires. Current, on the ground info from ppl in a situation is invaluable.

@BagpussUnleashed Muskrat and his financial backers deliberately set about to destroy Twitter. It was a threat to them as the nut jobs all own most of the media. It was a calculated demolition with ratface at the controls.

I know I am supposed to hate #Twitter but I rather like it and find it irreplaceable even while being run by a lunatic. It is a combination of citizen voices, official notifications, musings, celebrity preening, trolls, bots and most importantly-news. Millions rely on info from Twitter,
