When video footage from the collapsing Twin Towers emerged, I remember seeing a woman in the streets, turning her head, staring in horror at them, covering her mouth to stop a silent scream, then turning away with a frozen face. There was nothing she could do to help or even grasp the situation. I think of her quite often in the past decade.

If there is ever again a time when laws are actually made and not merely decreed, I would like to see this law passed:

Every piece of messaging that a campaign produces has to be available to public view in a single site.

The point of this is that a lot of campaign advertising is now invisible; it's hypertargeted on small demographics. And if, as often, it's deceptive, the lies can't be refuted because they're not being seen except by the tiny target audience.
