In other news: Iain Duncan Smith has been re-elected. Here, he is celebrating the misery he will bring to UC recipients.

Another self-employed friend was moved from tax credits to universal credit. He was told, that unless he has profits of £1500 per month, he will be kicked off from UC. So, you can earn not only too much to not qualify for social security, you can also earn too little.

One friend often has headaches. He did not get a GP appointment. The GP called him, my friend told him that he read that sumatriptan might help (very specific indication for migraines, not a general headache medication), and without further questions whether he possibly can have migraine, the GP prescribed this drug. Five minutes, that was. I don't blame the GP - they are paid now 20% less per patient, so don't have time for individual problems.

Two vignettes of what the Tories have done to the UK leading to their defeat today.

@process @th3j35t3r @BreakingNews Neither am I but the Royals contribute NOTHING to the country that really helps folk. Sat up there on their fancy thrones while the rest of the plebs suffer. Not for me.

There is a notable absence of armed insurgents storming the UK Houses of Parliament trying to prevent a peaceful transfer of power.

Okay - So I know I changed the @BreakingNews feed provider earlier today, and I might be circling back to refine it's ummm 'frequency' and relevance.

Work in progress. Bear with me.

Heard just now that Wales is Tory-free. Not one seat. Yes!!! That's a result!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

And if you think my anti-Tory stance is not very productive - well, I am aligned with the British people.

Congratulations, UK. These (plus Farage and Johnson) were the people who drove me out of the country, and I cannot be happier that many of them were now driven out of their cushy seats. Special mention for Truss, Fox, and Rees-Mogg.

"The shadows are long, Masaru Sato’s score is jazzy, and the crises that the players must face, though criminal in nature, are also existential": Koreyoshi Kurahara's I AM WAITING (1957) part of Radiance Films' World Noir 1 Blu-ray set. lwlies.com/art.../what-to-watc

Be careful when you follow the masses. Sometimes the “M” is silent.

Pre : "After we have left the EU, we decide who will come to the UK and who will benefit from our free trade deals."

Post Brexit: "Wait, what? The other party has a say in these decisions, too? Why do they hate us?"
