@LindaTeppler @ToolPackinMama Time to consider alternatives. I don't see Twitter surviving. This isn't about usage or advertisers, it's about developers sticking around. The entire site could go offline for days and it wouldn't shock me.

@LindaTeppler @ToolPackinMama I've read recently about the income generated from Twitter. How it's demise would be detrimental to many people. I always believed that social media shouldn't be a main source of income. But I see that for many it is. It's time to decide what alternatives are available. Because Twitter is soon to be gone.
@DCliffo @LindaTeppler I don't want to seem unsympathetic, but I think anyone who can't ditch #twitter because they are dependent on it, even in its current degrading state, should rethink their whole lives.

@ToolPackinMama If you´re on social media other than twitter you can still get your American news and politics. If i leave twitter i will lose my Dutch news and politics that are all in the same place. Twitter is Universal other social networks not so much.

I mostly follow my fellow resisters and my Dutch news, if you stick to your own lists, it´s doable. The moment when there will be a universal media site then i will wave twit goodbeye.
@ToolPackinMama There are those of us who can't leave yet. I make less than 25k a year. If I lost the contracts that require me to keep a twitter account, I'd earn less than 15k and would be destitute.
