I am de-Christmasing the house. I should put up a small string of lights so this isn't so jarring. I always get a little sad when the decorations come down. 🙁
@TomeReader Yes, I need that gentle transition too. I take down the tree with its multi-color lights and all the other Christmas decor, but leave the mantle greenery with its white lights. Just the green and white looks like the New Year to me.
@TomeReader I need to do this too, trying to find the motivation. It's playing a great game of hide n seek! lol
@TomeReader I have one string that I can switch to white, multicolor, or fade from one to the other repeatedly. Keep it up all year around the big window in the living room, usually set to white only but sometimes play around with the other settings. It's on a timer so it comes on around sunset. Adds a bit of cheer.
