Ok everyone. would love your thoughts and opinions on this (good or bad). I recently started doing my edits in DXO photolab instead of Lightroom/Photoshop. I love the ease of use. #sunset #lake #aftertherain #cosophotography @cosoart #lighthouse #westernny
@Timmah1979 The sky is beautiful color and feels almost like a painting with the smooth texture. love the walking path. Gives the picture a bit more texture. I have always loved walking paths and the camera view in this manner. I will have to take a look at DXO Photolab.
@TheNewsOwl thank you. It's funny because I always used NIK collection (also DXO software) but didn't upgrade it in like 3 years. And I knew of photo lab but you know how it goes when your comfortable using something else you're not changing. But with this upgrade of NIK they were giving photo lab essential (there's 2 versions essential and elite) for free. I figured what the hell. Its free what do I have to lose. If I don't like it I just won't use it and out nothing. Well, I love it lol
@Timmah1979 Absolutely! I have dabbled in many programs but tend to just go back to my usual so I understand completely.
@TheNewsOwl now I'm just debating if I wanna upgrade to elite and do away with Photoshop/Lightroom (because it still has some uses for me. It's just figuring out if it's enough to keep a subscription to Adobe)

Two things I like about this one.
It is much more "painterly", (is that a word?), less realistic.
and
It has a "water color" effect.
That hints at at the weather, rather than details it.
