So for my birthday I treated myself to my first ever cannabis products. Legally, even. Recreational use is legal in my state, despite that they still haven't permitted the sale of it without medical ID.

So I mail ordered it from CA.

I've only taken enough to get really "high" once, while watching wrestling. It was a 5+ hour show and I didn't get bored. 😅

Tonight I'm going to try again, while playing No Man's Sky, a generally chill game where you explore procedurally-generated alien worlds with a trippy/vibey piano soundtrack. Should be fun.

I love No Man's Sky.
The current expedition is not so chill, but in normal mode it's just engaging and challenging enough to make me focus on the game and take my mind off everything else.

And it's gorgeous!

@tyghebright The expedition is going to be what I play. Survival mode is how my normal save is, so it'll just be normal for me. I usually feel like I'm cheating in the expeditions. 😂

@Idle_Threat @tyghebright I'm feeling ragey right now playing Elden Ring. I have a copy of NMS but never dug to deep into it. Are all the updates free? As a noob what should I do first?

@ThrasherPrime @tyghebright There's no shortage of prompts for what to do. There's even two main questlines running in parallel.

If you're going to jump in, definitely try the limited-time expedition that's running. They're designed to be a good starting point for new players, and then when you complete it, your expedition save becomes a normal save you can continue with.

@Idle_Threat @tyghebright I'm updating it now. I need a break from trying to beat Radahn. As a blood dual wield melee build it's a tough hill to climb. I need a break.

@ThrasherPrime oh yeah, he was tough. As a sorc, it was a little easier because I was able to focus on summoning the other helper NPCs and then launching spells when he was distracted. It being such an open area made it much easier for that kind of strategy. I'm planning a NG+ as a melee build so I'm sure I'll feel your pain.

@Idle_Threat I might respec to a mage just to have an easier time. LOL

@ThrasherPrime Every fight is desperately running away to get distance so you have time to spam-cast whatever you've decided you're going to spam-cast before the nasty bug-eyed monster eats you.

Every. Fight.

@ThrasherPrime Summons make it much easier. Horseback casting is also good.

@Idle_Threat I'm level 90 so I could probably respec easily and find good gear to use. I'll consider it. Although there is something to be said about kicking something's evil butt up close and personal.

@ThrasherPrime I'm planning to run through in melee mode in NG+ for that reason. I just tried both at the beginning and this just seemed like the best way to start my first "souls game"

@Idle_Threat Radahn deceased after 4 tries as a mage. Was trying to figure out range and such. I feel very OP now.
